Ah! how the snow has snowed!
My window is a garden of frost.

What is the spasm of living
To the pain that I have, that I have.
All the ponds lie frozen,
My soul is black! where shall I live? where shall I go?
All its hopes lie frozen:
I am the new Norway
From where the blond skies have gone.
Cry, birds of February,
At the sinister shiver of things,
Cry, birds of February,
Cry my tears, cry my roses,
On the juniper boughs.
Ah! how the snow has snowed!
Ma vitre est un jardin de givre.
