Description

This document has been produced by the ‘Cybersecurity of UAVs and Robots’ community of interest on the subject of ‘Friend-Enemy Identification’ applied to aerial, ground or naval UAVs.

The aim of this report is to examine the various existing approaches to identifying friendly and enemy UAVs, highlighting their advantages, limitations and technical challenges. It will also explore innovative solutions, including the integration of artificial intelligence, secure communication protocols and hybrid identification systems. Finally, we will propose possible improvements aimed at enhancing the reliability and efficiency of FFI systems in an increasingly complex and evolving context.
